That’s a Lotta Nuts!

Alright, I just installed a new YouTube plugin so I figured I share it with y’all. Here are a few clips from Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. My older brother told me about this movie and he was right — it is really really bad and yet I couldn’t stop laughing when I watched it. It was done by Steve Oedekerk — the same guy who brings us much joy with Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. I guess he took a bad kung fu movie and inserted himself in it then changed all the dialogue to make this film. So without further ado…

  1. One of my family’s favorite movies. I love the death scene.

  2. Ah yes Susan — those are some powerful last words:

Master Tang: Listen, and listen well. I really like the band N-Sync. My favorite member is Harpo. I think there’s a Harpo. If not there should be. I will write their next hit, maybe ‘A boom-boom chiky chiky boom-boom a boom-boom chiky chaka chaka cho cho.’ By the way, you must beware of Betty’s iron claw. They are sharp, and they hurt. And beware his song about big butts, he beats people up while he plays it!

  3. This is sweet, but it’s no Wii… (He brags before issuing forth an insidious laugh.)

I love the NCT can have 30 or so posts about Theology focusing on the atonement and plan of salvation, then a post on Kung Pow…

  4. You know the motto Matt:

If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

  5. This would be a fantastic post for me if BYU didn’t block anything named youtube. But way to show your culture! Everyone should be so open minded as Geoff. :)

  6. Oh, those J’s. Here’s how the family get togethers go: the biological J’s all sit around and laugh and quote movie lines and Simpson’s episode lines til they’re blue in the face.

The J’s who have married into the family tend to sit on the outer edge of the group and before you know it their eyes have glazed over and the snoring starts.

    It’s really fun!
