Trevor, anything can indeed happen on game day. And the Utah – BYU game is always tight even when one team is much better than the other. Even players who aren’t emotionally bringing it during regular games step it up for the big game.

That said with a very weak defense, problems at the O-Line, a Hall who is having trouble reading players other than Pitta or Collie, Pitta injured, and a fairly solid Utah team we’ll have our work cut out for us.

Anything can happen on game day. It is never a sealed deal any year. I think the detractors are seriously over-estimating Utah, not to say I am convinced BYU will win easily, but I think they have a chance. Utah has struggled in strange places this year and they definitely have a self-destruct button. Also pressure is on for Utah, they are going to be nervous. Also, expect some offense that we haven’t seen for awhile from the Cougs, Utah has a style that we haven’t played against for over a month, I hope it will help keep us from being picked apart by scouting.

What’s with the home court advantage in Provo? BYU basketball currently has the nation’s longest home winning streak at 48 and football is tied for the nation’s second longest home winning streak at 18. Hallowed ground.

Not at all. I thought we had a pretty solid chance yesterday. Although I was worried. I just don’t think our team this year, despite our scoreboard, is nearly as good as last year.

But this year I think the only two teams we didn’t have much of a chance at were TCU and UoU.

BTW – isn’t it pretty cool that our conference is doing so much better than the Pac-10?

1. Clark never thinks BYU has a chance so pay no attention to him Stephen. BYU has a plenty good chance this week.

2. Clark, seeing as how BYU is 10-1 right now I’d say it is good luck for you not to watch entire games. Keep it up.

3. Anybody catch the interview with the Obamas on 60 Minutes tonight? In the last segment they asked him about a college football playoff and he again said he is a big proponent of the idea. Then he said he just might throw his weight around on the subject as president! Awesome. And you’re welcome BYU fans for my Obama vote.
