It surprised me too when I saw the picture. Yep, times is a changin.

He does look like a sissy. Probably mostly due to the apron. The picture would have a more shocking effect if they found some hairy dude with dirty word tattoo–maybe a tattoo like “bad as* in the kitchen.” I don’t know. One step at a time I suppose.

Yes, my wife yells at me — oops, make that “corrects me with sharpness” — when I don’t, because, like Sam B., I have way too many grease-stained shirts to show for my cooking efforts.

But I don’t wear aprons when I cook, and have at least one grease-splattered shirt to prove it!

Seriously though, if they wanted the photo to convey that both men and women can take care of household chores, etc., why not choose a model who doesn’t look like Mr. Rogers on estrogen??

I wear an apron every time I cook, and I cook a fair amount. I’s like to Nick make bread from scratch without getting anything on his clothes.
