Thanks annegb. I do need to print these out. That’s the main reason I’m writing these posts, so my kids will have these memories later on in their lives when they can appreciate them.

I’m glad you didn’t find out until later. I know there have been similar situations at our house. It’s cool to see he cared enough to really hope against your hope.

Nice story Kristen. It fits well with my post from yesterday on the “Law of Love” I think. This is a good example of an act of love that might have created alienation between your dad and you had you known about it at the time, but was probably in your best interests long term so it actually created unity when viewed from a distance.
